Last Stop Las Palmas

One year ago, on March 9th, I stayed in Las Palmas prior to going on a cruise.  So, when we made Las Palmas (the capital of Gran Canaria) our last stop, I was really looking forward to being back there.  And, it has not disappointed.  The first evening we ate in the hotel restaurant and I was happy to discover the same fish dish - sea bass served over fried potatoes topped with caramelized red onions was still on the menu as it is delicious, sort of a very upscale version of fish and chips! For our first day, we took it pretty easy - a late breakfast at a beachside restaurant where I'd eaten several times before.  We went for a short walk then Kim wandered further along the seafront but I needed to rest my back.  Still the view from our hotel, NH Imperial Playa which is on Playa Canteras, is stunning so sitting and enjoying the view wasn't too much of a problem!
